Imports to Kosovo reach 7 billion euros, these are the top ten main trading partners

Kosovo is continuing to deepen its dependence on imported goods, driving the trade deficit to an extremely high level.

Our country imported goods worth around 7 billion euros in 2025, according to the GAP Institute, citing Kosovo Customs. However, the value of exported goods was less than 1 billion euros (929 million euros in exports).

While, during 2024, the import value was 6.38 billion euros, in 2023, it was lower, 5 billion and 878 million euros.

But who are Kosovo’s top ten trading partner countries?

The European country, Germany, remains Kosovo’s main trading partner. From this country, Kosovo imported goods worth 1 billion euros, followed by Turkey with 926 million euros. The third country from which Kosovo imports goods is China with 920 million euros, followed by Italy with 368 million euros, North Macedonia with 350 million euros, Albania in sixth place with 286 million, Greece with 279 million euros, Poland with 273 million, Serbia in ninth place with 234 million euros and India in tenth place with 185 million euros, according to the GAP Institute.

In 2024, Turkey was in first place from where Kosovo imported goods, and Germany in second place.
