Over 1.2 billion people use “CHATGPT” every week

The American technology company OpenAI has announced that its artificial intelligence generative assistant ChatGPT is used by more than 1.2 billion people every week. This number of users was revealed at DevDay – the company’s annual developer conference in San Francisco, USA, where it was also highlighted that they have 2.5 million business users. This sector is key to financing the huge investments needed in the race to advance artificial intelligence, reports Le Figaro.

OpenAI also today launched its new mid-range AI model, the GPT-6.1 Sol, touted as being nearly as powerful as its flagship model but at a fifth of the price. The model is positioned just below the GPT-6 Astra – OpenAI’s previous powerful model, launched on September 3.

Yesterday, Open-AI announced that it was withdrawing GPT-6.1 Astra, the new version of its flagship model, citing problems with the model frequently going beyond set parameters. However, tests show that GPT-6.1 Sol adheres to the guidelines better than its predecessor.
