Albania is ranked 9th in the world for cybersecurity, according to the latest National Cyber ​​Security Index (NCSI 2026) report. Prime Minister Edi Rama shared the news on social media, highlighting the country’s progress in this field.

“Albania ranks 9th in the world for cybersecurity according to NCSI 2026. According to the report, Albania is assessed for its progress in strengthening the structures responsible for cybersecurity, developing national policies and strategies, as well as improving coordination mechanisms and response to threats in the digital space,” Rama wrote.

The report evaluates countries based on national capacities to prevent, detect and respond to cyber threats, as well as on inter-institutional coordination and the ability to protect critical digital infrastructure.
