Financial Times: Trump proposes Chinese peacekeeping forces for Ukraine

US President Donald Trump has reportedly proposed deploying Chinese peacekeeping forces to Ukraine, an idea that is said to support an earlier proposal by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to the Financial Times, a source from the Trump camp denies this information, stating that “there has been no discussion of Chinese peacekeeping forces.”

The proposal has caused strong reactions in Kiev and several European capitals, due to Beijing’s open support for Moscow during the conflict.

Meanwhile, Ukraine and its Western allies have discussed the possibility of creating a neutral international force to ensure security.

Turkey is one of the countries that has expressed willingness to actively participate in the implementation and maintenance of these guarantees.
