How much did the June 7 elections cost Kosovo?

The incumbent government had allocated over 10.8 million euros for the organization of the early parliamentary elections that were held on Sunday, bringing the cost of two extraordinary electoral processes held within less than six months to more than 18 million euros.

The decision to allocate 10 million, 887 thousand, 186 euros to the Central Election Commission was approved in an electronic meeting of the Government on May 11.

According to official data, a budget of 11.5 million euros was planned for the early elections of December 28 last year, while real expenses, according to preliminary CEC reports, have reached around 7.4 million euros.

Meanwhile, the parliamentary elections of February 9 last year cost the Kosovo budget about 7.1 million euros.

The preliminary voter list for the June 7 elections included 2 million 92 thousand 202 citizens with the right to vote, or 15 thousand 912 more compared to the elections held at the end of last year.
