Kurti Government’s vote failure, Osmani begins consultations with political parties today

Following the Kurti Government’s failure to obtain the necessary votes in the Kosovo Assembly on Sunday, the country’s President Vjosa Osmani has invited parliamentary political parties to a consultative meeting today at 12:00.

The invitation for the meeting was confirmed to Telegrafi by the president’s media advisor, Bekim Kupina, who said that the purpose of the meeting is to hold consultations with representatives of parliamentary parties following the current political situation.

Three of the main opposition parties have already confirmed their participation in the meeting: PDK, LDK, AAK.

This meeting is expected to be decisive for future political steps, as after the failure to form the Kurti Government, the president is expected to consult with parties on the possibility of creating a new parliamentary majority or calling early elections.
