Serbia signs $1.64 billion deal with Israeli arms giant

Israeli media have reported that Serbia is the European country after a $1.64 billion deal signed with Israeli defense giant Elbit Systems.

Elbit last week announced a deal to supply long-range missile artillery systems as well as drones, but did not announce who the customer is.

“Times of Israel” reports that as part of the five-year contract, Elbit will supply Serbia with a range of artificial intelligence combat drones, including personally operated drones for tactical and operational uses.

The agreement also includes the supply of high-precision artillery missiles and products equipped with Elbit’s advanced intelligence, surveillance, target identification and reconnaissance (ISTAR) technology, as well as communication and signals intelligence systems. The package also includes the delivery of advanced electro-optical systems and night vision devices.
