The United States Department of State is reportedly in the final stages of a project to redesign American passports.

This initiative has attracted attention due to an unusual element: the possibility of including the image of US President Donald Trump.

According to reports, the proposal is related to preparations for marking the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States and envisages a limited series of about 25 passports with a new design, writes forbes.

Initial drafts reportedly include Trump’s portrait and signature within the document, replacing the traditional graphic elements typically used on US passports.

Experts in the field emphasize that such an action would be unprecedented, as international practice does not typically include incumbent political figures or state leaders in such official documents.

However, the plan has not yet been finally approved and US authorities have not officially confirmed whether this change will be implemented.
