“But I told them not to go to Iraq, not to attack Iraq,” he told the press, alongside Iraq’s new Prime Minister, Ali al-Zaidi.
“Frankly, they attacked the wrong place and caused a lot of damage,” Trump added.
He continued to boast about the strength of the current relationship between Iraq and the US, saying: “Iraq has tremendous potential because of their oil and because of other things.”
“And we’re going to make a lot of deals. We’re going to create a lot of jobs for both countries and we’re going to produce a lot of oil,” Trump declared.
“A lot of oil is coming out and American companies are doing it, mostly American companies now. They don’t want to do business with others. They want to do business with America,” the American leader concluded.
