“Red flags” on the wedding day that lead to divorce

The wedding day is undoubtedly one of the happiest days of a couple, as it celebrates eternal love and celebrates this feeling between the most beloved people. But… there are some clear signs, or “red flags”, that, according to professional photographers, indicate that the couple may end up in divorce. At first glance, they are small and insignificant things, but, as it turns out, they have great weight.

“One of the most common signs I see is when the bride and groom, usually the groom, strongly resists being photographed,” Christopher Todd Griffiths, a California wedding photographer with 20 years of experience, explained to the Daily Mail. And it’s not just about camera shyness.

“This is the biggest red flag, because it shows that they are not ready to participate in something important to their partner,” he said. Another important element is a couple’s body language. Some couples show chemistry and comfort, but many others seem like they can’t wait to be apart. “This is easy to spot, especially if you work closely with the couple as a photographer. Some couples have great chemistry, while others just can’t stand being around each other,” the photographer said.

How collaborative are the husband and wife? It shows in the way they react when something goes wrong on their big day. “You can really see their problem-solving skills. Are they a team or are they turning their backs on each other?” said freelance photographer Devin Dugard.

Another sign is when the couple avoids eye contact. “It’s natural to not know where to look in front of the camera, but avoiding eye contact with your partner, especially on your wedding day, can indicate a deeper disconnect,” reveals Dugard.
