“Don’t replace the dollar, otherwise …” Trump threatens BRICS member countries

United States President Donald Trump has urged BRICS member states (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) to pledge not to create new currency or support another foreign currency such as replacement for the US dollar. Otherwise, he has warned that they will face 100 percent fees.

He further said that it is unlikely to replace the US dollar in international trade. BRICS consists of a group of five economies – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
