Only a third of Americans support war with Iran

Results from the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll show that one in three Americans supports the war with Iran, the lowest level since the conflict began five months ago.

For most respondents, US President Donald Trump failed to clearly explain his intentions.

The poll showed that 69 percent of Americans, including four in 10 Republicans, believe that Trump “has not clarified the goals of American military involvement in Iran.”

But despite this, Trump’s approval rating rose to 37 percent, which is three points more than last month, when support for him was at its lowest level.

The survey was conducted from July 24 to 26.
