US President Donald Trump has sent a strong warning to European leaders.
He stressed that the continent needs a smarter approach to the issues of immigration and energy, which, according to him, are destroying Europe.
“Evropa duhet të bëhet më e zgjuar. Ndërmjet emigracionit dhe energjisë, ata po shkatërrohen – nuk po njihet”, ka thënë 79-vjeçari në një deklaratë të fundit.
The American leader added that European leaders must take urgent measures to avoid negative consequences, warning that time for action is limited.
The president’s comments come as many European countries face numerous economic and social challenges.
The energy crisis caused by geopolitical tensions and dependence on gas and oil imports is burdening national budgets, while migrant flows are creating additional pressure on the social and infrastructural systems of some countries.
