The “miniature revolution”! The devices that are changing the future of technology

In the world of technology, the “smallest” is becoming increasingly powerful. Global giants are “fighting” to create the thinnest and most innovative devices, paving the way for a true revolution that will change the way we use technology in our daily lives.

Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Z Fold 7, one of the thinnest foldable phones on the market, measuring just 4.2mm when unfolded. Chinese company Honor, a former Huawei subsidiary, has announced the Magic V5, which will be even thinner, measuring 4.1mm when unfolded, but with improvements in the battery, processor and camera, thanks to the use of new carbon-silicon battery technology and artificial intelligence for design. Apple is also expected to enter the foldable phone market next year. The trend is part of a broader race among technology giants to develop smaller but more powerful devices, not just phones, but also other devices such as smart glasses, watches, and rings.

Xreal, one of the pioneers of augmented reality (AR) glasses, has developed a model that projects images onto lenses and connects to phones or laptops to display content like an IMAX screen. Experts suggest that one way to make these devices cheaper and more practical is to move the processing from the glasses to the phone or computer.

At the same time, Meta has introduced Ray-Ban smart glasses, which record photos, videos and audio, and use artificial intelligence to respond in real time to things the user sees. Meta is working to combine these functions with visual display capabilities to create a powerful pair of glasses of the future. According to analysts, companies investing in this technology today are making a long-term strategic bet. Although mass production and widespread use of these devices have not yet occurred, the potential is incredible. While it has been more than a decade since the launch of the iPhone, many are seeing the technological future in smart glasses, as the most serious candidates to replace the phone.
