The shameless lies, the terrorization of citizens, the obvious connections of the government with organized crime, the war against prosecutors and judges – that is, the destruction of the state, the violation of the constitution and laws, the war against the education system and against the peasants – are not helping. The regime is unable to offer anything to the citizens, who have understood and despise this predatory government.

There is no speech by Aleksandar Vučić that is not so psychopathological, ecstatic and at the same time exhausted and extremely contradictory. This is something that almost no one listens to today, except for his blind supporters and mindless individuals. According to him, Serbia is sometimes meta-stable and the most powerful force in the Region, and sometimes it is not – but it is hyper-endangered, to the point that its life hangs in the balance. Then he claims to be an “economic tiger”, while at the same time almost on the verge of collapse. On the one hand he says that everyone in the world adores him, while on the other hand everyone wants to overthrow him from power.
These speeches may have once had a purpose, but they have since become obsolete. Vučić ignores reality and his regime is entangled in contradictions from which it is not only not emerging, but in an attempt to escape, it is deepening them even more. Thus, on the one hand, Serbia is presented as a tiger, a panda, a cockroach (that survives everything), one of the leading powers in Europe and consequently in the world. While on the other hand, despite the prosperity at home, Serbia – perhaps because the rest of the world is jealous – is in immediate danger of a high-intensity attack.
And we are not even talking about the assassination attempts on the president. So, on the one hand, Serbia is presented as one of the most stable, safest and most powerful countries economically and politically in the world, while on the other hand, it is said that it is completely “pierced” from within. Because, according to Vučić in a paranoid way, foreign powers “are eroding wherever they can and however they can, while the neighbors have only just crossed the border”. But even if this were to happen, the president of Serbia – according to this rhetoric – would be like an “atomic umbrella”. And what can anyone do to Serbia, when it – according to him – has the most equipped and most deadly army in the world.
Even if the system of general popular defense and social self-defense (the well-known ONO and DSZ) is activated, let the “triple pact” of Tirana-Zagreb-Pristina then dare to attack Belgrade.
Vučić is such an authority that only the Serbian air carrier has been allowed to fly over Iran. That flight was reportedly agreed upon directly in talks with Trump, Netanyahu, and the Iranian mullahs. According to this logic, the “moderate Serbian” Ayatollah Ayatollah Alaykhamenei has begged him to stop the war for an hour or two so that his plane can return safely from a resort in Egypt. Because, look, he has such influence that he can stop a war whenever he wants.
At the same time, the Serbian dictator claims that everyone is after him and, surprisingly, now declares that Serbia has run out of friends – despite presenting itself as such a great power.
In the speeches of a regime that does not pay attention to reality, contradiction is a daily occurrence. In a closed public space, the Serbian propaganda machine, similar to that of Goebbels, works at full capacity. The Serbian regime can lie and say whatever comes to mind. It can even claim that Belgrade overthrew the Kurti government in revenge for Albin Kurti’s expulsion of the criminal and terrorist Radoićić from northern Kosovo. Although this, of course, makes no sense. But how can one prove that someone is lying, when media darkness reigns in Serbia?
From the regime’s perspective, it can also be said that Albin Kurti is calling for war, and not the Russian proxy and “poodle” of Mira Markovic, as well as Vučić’s co-architect of the Serbian world, Aleksandar Vulin. They can lie all they want – and who cares? But all this is done on purpose, because the regime is in a desperate situation. Students and citizens have reduced support for it to about 35 percent and this Serbian autocrat can no longer move from there. For this reason, a reason for mobilization is needed: for people to gather around Vučić again, and in order to gather, they must feel threatened. Milošević also surfaced with the story of endangering the nation. So did Hitler. So did Putin. When he had nothing more to invent, Putin attacked Ukraine and now it has been four years since he feels very good, even though Russia has gone downhill. Just as the Russian attack on Ukraine was good for Vučić to start the narrative of endangerment and win the elections. He desperately needs something like this today: through the spread of fear and panic about the outbreak of a third world war. This also serves to invent, in addition to the predatory Expo 2027 project, some other predatory construction “enterprise”, because the one he has does not seem to be enough.
However, even though all of Vučić’s lies and contradictions have served as a kind of self-defense for him (like ONO and DSZ), they have now turned against him and his regime. Because citizens simply see that what the regime says has no connection to reality.
But I assert that, whatever they give, offer or promise, except for his blind supporters and “sandwich makers”, there will be no new supporters – even if heaven flows through Serbia. Because the growing potential of the forces against the regime, at no price will they allow the routine electoral thefts that have occurred so far. Because if this regime survives, the only thing worse than this would be the bombs that would fall on the territory of Serbia. (Koha.net)
