US President Donald Trump has praised Kosovo’s participation in the Peace Board. He said that Kosovo’s involvement plays an extraordinary role in ending wars in the world. He said this in a letter to former President Vjosa Osmani.

“Thank you for your very kind letter. I continue to admire your courageous and decisive leadership on behalf of the people of Kosovo. We have achieved much together in a short period of time – especially our cooperation within the Peace Board. Kosovo’s participation in this promising new initiative will play an extraordinary role in ending conflicts around the world, while promoting freedom and well-being for both our peoples,” reads the letter dated April 8, which Osmani published on Facebook on Tuesday.

Trump also praised Osmani’s role, saying that she will leave behind “an important legacy that will shape the future of the country, the Balkan Region, and all of Europe.” Trump described her as a trusted friend of the United States.

Osmani thanked Trump in the publication. “We will preserve Kosovo’s strong connection with America together, today and forever! I thank President Trump for the letter sent at the end of my mandate, which I received last night, as well as for the appreciation he has made of our work! As the US President emphasizes in this letter, we welcome the continuation of cooperation in the coming years,” she wrote. Kosovo is part of the Peace Board, Trump’s initiative to end the war in Gaza. There, Kosovo has pledged to send the Army for peace. The decision has now been authorized by the acting president, Albulena Haxhiu. The Kosovo Security Force will go to Gaza for a peace mission.
