1 Billion Smartphones at Risk

One billion smartphones worldwide are at security risk. Forty-two percent of them, running the Android operating system, are vulnerable to cyberattacks. This has been confirmed by Google following updated statistics on installations of different software versions.

According to company data cited by Forbes, 58% of Android smartphones globally run version 13 of the operating system – the latest version equipped with the necessary security parameters.

Meanwhile, in January, a report by Telemetry Deck indicated that 60% of iPhone users are equipped with the latest software, iOS 26, while 37% are still using its predecessor, iOS 18.
