The 10G network arrives in China. So while most of the world is waiting for 5G, in China the doubling is already a reality in the futuristic city of Xiong’an. The project is thanks to the collaboration of China Unicom and Huawei, it is based on 50G-PON technology, capable of guaranteeing such a speed that a movie can be downloaded in a few seconds. The network also makes it possible to pass in real time advanced Artificial Intelligence systems, such as new generation language models and the integration of Artificial Intelligence in everyday life.
A technological leap conceived for a metropolis that is becoming a symbol of the China of the future, both in terms of urban planning and digital.
The 10G network has a very wide bandwidth and through it, applications that today seem like science fiction will be possible, such as autonomous driving of vehicles, able to communicate with each other in real time, virtual reality glasses, remote diagnosis and surgical interventions with instant analysis, intelligent energy and traffic management.
So the digital infrastructure will be the real brain of the city, able to analyze and react to the data collected at any moment. Xiong’an is a city founded in 2017 by order of the Chinese government, with the aim of being a hi-tech center at a world level, with architectural criteria that respect the environment and with a model infrastructure, conceived to be perfect.
