Opel Zafira Minivan comes with the new 2.2-liter Multijet Evo Turbodiesel engine

Opel has relaunched the Zafira as a “large van” after a 2024 refresh. In Germany, the base Vivaro Kombi offers space for nine people and has a more utilitarian design, while the Zafira models, starting with the Edition, aim for more comfort for families or transport services. The base Vivaro Kombi has a length of 4,96 meters, while the Zafira can also be ordered in the XL version of 5,33 meters for more luggage space.

Opel now offers a new 2.2-liter turbo-diesel engine with 180 horsepower, equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

This engine provides 0-100 km/h in 10,6 seconds and a top speed of up to 185 km/h. Prices in Germany start at €47.500 for the Vivaro Kombi, €50.000 for the Zafira Edition and €58.500 for the Zafira GS. The return of diesel shows the importance of efficient long-distance transport vehicles in Europe, especially for families and transport operators. With the Multijet Evo engine, the Zafira remains a practical alternative for those looking for a combination of space, comfort and fuel efficiency.
