The fictional technology of “Black Mirror” that is deceiving everyone

The promotional campaign for Black Mirror season 7 has confused reality with fantasy, leading many to believe that the Nubbin memory-revisiting chip is real technology. The Nubbin, a purported brain chip that allows users to revisit memories, is actually a marketing ploy for the upcoming season of Black Mirror.

The internet is being swept up in a mysterious technology called the “Nubbin” – an implantable brain chip that claims to allow users to recall memories, relive dreams, and completely escape reality. If it sounds like something out of Black Mirror, that’s because it is. Black Mirror’s promotional campaign blurs the lines between reality and imagination, sparking excitement among fans ahead of the premiere.

The promotional campaign for Black Mirror season 7 had fans believing that the “Nubbin” was a real product. The chip, developed by a company called TCKR Systems, promised to transport users into a “virtual” state – essentially a world of curated dreams based on memories. “Perfect reality? It’s all in your head,” their website boldly declares. “Reality is boring. It’s time for something better.”
