Faith Park, competition opens for new project that brings together all religions “under one roof”

All faiths “under one roof”. This is what the government aims to achieve through its latest project to establish the “Faith Park”, in the Petrela area of Tirana, near the Castle, writes A2 CNN. With a focus on “religious coexistence”, the park is said in the competition documents announced by the Albanian Investment Corporation to serve as a place that will unite different faiths.

The National Territorial Planning Agency (AKPT), with the support of the Albanian Investment Corporation (AIC) and Miral Group, is the promoter of this competition, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Environment and the Municipality of Tirana.

The Faith Park will be more than a place of pilgrimage or remembrance. It will serve as a space where individuals from different faiths can meet, interact, and share their values. Through architecture and urban planning, the aim is to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that fosters respect and tolerance.

Historically, Albania has been a bridge between East and West, where Catholicism, Orthodoxy and Islam have coexisted in harmony. This park will reinforce this heritage and serve as a testament to the virtues of coexistence, humanism and the strength of the Albanian spirit. Through this project, our country will send a powerful message of peace and unity, not only within its borders, but also beyond them.
