The next meeting between the chief negotiators in December

The emissary of the European Union for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajçak, has announced that the next meeting between the chief negotiator of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, and that of Serbia, Petar Petkovic, will be held in December.  In a post on the Facebook social network, Lajcak wrote that the last two weeks have been productive and with visits.

He emphasized that he has engaged in important discussions on dialogue and the way forward.

“I engaged in important discussions on dialogue and the way forward. These conversations are critical in shaping the work my team is doing as we prepare for the next meeting of chief negotiators in December. I look forward to the next period”, he wrote.

The last meeting at the level of chief negotiators was held on October 24.

After the meeting, Bislimi said that there were no results in the matter of moving forward in the normalization of relations with Serbia. He called the meeting with Petkovic of Serbia, under the mediation of the European Union emissary for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, a failed round.

Meanwhile, Petkovic stated that the talks were difficult and that his delegation insisted on establishing the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority.
